Retail Store Manager/Assistant Manager/Sales

Job Summary

oh baby! is looking for full time and part time sales associates and management candidates to join our team.

oh baby! is Minnesota's premier upscale retailer of children's fashion (newborn through size 8) and home furnishings. We have opportunities at both our flagship boutique at the Galleria in Edina, and at our newest store on Lake Street in Wayzata.

Our oh baby! brand apparel and accessories are designed and made right here in Minneapolis, and distributed to select retailers around the world. Our local stores are the exclusive distributors of the brand in Minnesota. Our stores also curate a sublime selection of the best products available for infants and children. Customers look to our staff for expertise and guidance for some of their most important buying decisions for nurseries, children's clothing and gifts.

We have openings for a full time store manager at our Wayzata store, and both FT and PT opportunities in Edina. Responsibilities and Duties

As a Retail Manager or member of our management team, you may be responsible for some or all of the following responsibilities:

* Merchandising

* Managing our POS system, including processing sales and special orders, PO generation, receiving, inventory management

* Personal sales floor coverage of 20-40 hours per week

* Scheduling sales staff

* Sales and marketing, including staff training and support, clientelling, events, promotions, social media and email marketing, advertising campaigns

Managers are supported by sales staff, web manager, social media manager, merchandising and receiving assistants. Managers report directly to the CEO.

Qualifications and Skills

Customer centered retail sales or equivalent experience is preferred, but we will consider anyone with a vibrant, outgoing personality and a demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service. Strong computer skills, experience with children's clothing, and knowledge of textiles, furnishings and design are helpful assets.
